Let’s construct the angle AOB with the vertex “O” equal to 70 ° (see the figure).
From the vertex of the angle “O” we draw a beam OС, forming an angle ВOС equal to 30 °.
Consider the AOC angle and calculate its degree measure:
360 – 70 – 30 = 260.
The AOC angle is 260 °. As you know, an acute angle is called the angle the degree measure of which is less than 90 °. In our case, the AOC angle is obtuse.
Answer: given the condition of the problem, the AOC angle cannot be sharp.
