In ancient times, only the philosophical instructions of the sages of those times existed in Athens. Let’s list some of their teachings.

1. Communicate in society without raising your voice. Raising the voice was a sign of bad manners.

2. Young people should be silent in the presence of their elders.

3. Before you say anything you need to think well (thoughts should not precede words);
