List the differences between the Greek and Persian troops.

The basis of the Greek troops was made up of hoplites, who were directly subordinate to the commander, while the Persians who lived in the territory of present-day Iran did not have a clear centralized leadership, they were driven by Islamic fundamentalism and the deification of the king, while the Greeks sought to protect their democratic rights and their native Polis ( cities of the state). As for the tactics of warfare: the main strategy of the Greeks is – hit and run – a rapid raid by hoplite cavalry under the cover of Burgundian crossbowmen and an equally rapid retreat. The Persians used the tactics of exhausting battle, which was facilitated by the geographical features of the occupied territory (desert).
