Slash-and-burn agriculture flourished in the center and north of the East European Plain. At first, the forest was cut down, part of it was used for the construction of housing and other buildings. Then they burned the rest and fertilized the ground with ashes. There were stall cattle breeding and trades. The tools of labor were used: an ax, a hoe, a harrow, a spade, a plow with an iron share.
