Plants and animals have both many similarities and differences. For example, the similarities include the need for both for water and air, as well as the fact that they are composed of cellular tissues. However, there are many more differences. Among them is that animals can move, but plants cannot. Animals absorb only pre-existing organic compounds, which they receive from plants and other animals, while plants can synthesize organic substances from inorganic ones. Animals make sounds, plants don’t.
