Animals share many similarities with other kingdoms of living nature. There are eight kingdoms of living nature. Animals can move in search of food, a sexual partner, or in order to avoid danger. Bacteria and protists have the same property. Animals are not able to create organic matter on their own. Therefore, they eat autotrophs, and they themselves are heterotrophs. Some plants and fungi are also considered heterotrophs. Still in common with other kingdoms is the structure of cells and the presence of certain organelles.
