The most widespread was the cult of the god Ra, who was considered the supreme god in Egypt. Ra was the sun god. The priests acted as intermediaries between gods and people. So the ancient Egyptians made sacrifices and prayed to their gods. They also built temples. The Egyptians had a special attitude towards the afterlife; they prepared for it during their lifetime.
