Make a diagram of the reflex arc of the blink reflex. Indicate the function of each link.

Reflex arc of the protective blinking reflex:

Receptor irritation (1) → nerve impulse → sensitive afferent neuron (2) → medulla oblongata → intercalary neuron (3) → efferent executive neuron (4) → circular muscle of the eye (5) → blinking.

Functions of each link:
1) The receptor perceives information;
2) The afferent transmits information to the departments of the central nervous system;
3) The insertion neuron processes information;
4) The efferent transmits the impulse to the executive bodies;
5) The orbicular muscle (executive organ) causes blinking.
