Make an expression to calculate the perimeter of a triangle, if one side of the triangle is “a” cm, the second side is 5 cm larger. The third side is 1.5 times the first side.

According to the condition of the problem, the length of one side of this triangle is a cm, and the second side of this triangle is 5 cm longer than the first side, therefore, the length of the second side of this triangle is:

x + 5 cm.

It is also known that the third side of this triangle is 1.5 times larger than its first side, therefore, the length of the third side of this triangle is:

1.5x cm.

Since the perimeter of any triangle is equal to the sum of the lengths of all three sides of this triangle, the perimeter p of this triangle is:

p = x + x + 5 + 1.5x = 2x + 1.5x + 5 = 3.5x + 5 cm.
