Make the reaction equation: H2O → O2 → CO2 → CaCO3 → Ca (NO3) 2 ↓ SO2

Make the reaction equation: H2O → O2 → CO2 → CaCO3 → Ca (NO3) 2 ↓ SO2 For reaction 1. Make an electronic balance, determine the oxidizing agent and reducing agent. For reaction 5. Write down the complete and abbreviated ionic equation of the reaction.

During the electrolysis of a solution containing oxygen anions, water will be oxidized at the inert anode. To evolve oxygen, we need pH <7 or pH = 7.

For example electrolysis of CuSO4 solution:

copper ions are reduced at the cathode: Cu2 ++ 2e = Cu,

water is oxidized at the anode if the anode is inert (Pt) 2Н2О – 4е = О2 + 4Н +.

Overall reaction: 2H2O + 2Cu + 2 = 2Cu + O2 + 4H +.

0.5O2 + C = CO.

2CO + O2 = 2CO2.

CO2 + Ca (OH) 2 = CaCO3 + H2O.

CaCO3 + HNO3 = Ca (NO3) 2 + CO2 + H2O.

For the last reaction: if you need to get SO2 from Ca (NO3) 2:

Ca (NO3) 2 + Na2SO3 = CaSO3 + 2NaNO3,
CaSO3 = CaO + SO2.

A direct reaction with SO2 and Ca (NO3) 2 will not work.
