Median functions in a triangle?

First, the median divides the opposite side into two equal parts — that is, the base of the median is the midpoint of the opposite side of the triangle.

Secondly, the median drawn to the base of an isosceles triangle is also the height and bisector of this isosceles triangle.

Third, there is a remarkable case: the length of the median, which was dropped to the hypotenuse, is equal to half the length of the hypotenuse.

Fourth, the median (splits) divides any triangle into two equal triangles (this means that their areas are equal).

Fifthly, all three medians of the triangle intersect at one point, and are divided by this point in a ratio of 1: 2 counting from the apex of the triangle (I is a wonderful point of the triangle).
