Meiosis and its essence and biological significance.

Meiosis is the division of the cell nucleus. With this division, the number of chromosomes in the cell decreases. Meiosis is necessary for the division of the cell itself, since each new cell must have a nucleus. At the same time, a normal number of chromosomes remains in two nuclei after meiosis. This is due to the fact that before this process there is a doubling of the number of chromosomes in the nucleus. Then they diverge into two parts of the core, a special tie is created and the core is divided. Meiosis occurs in two stages. Each stage consists of four phases.
