They are Protestants. So at the beginning of the 16th century, a reformation movement was born in Europe. Its leaders advocated the reformation of the church and the eradication of Catholicism. Europe sought to rid itself of Catholic hegemony. Thus, in the first decades, different countries have their own currents of reformation: in Germany – Lutheranism, in France – Calvinism, in England – Anglicanism, etc. This also became the cause of internal conflicts. For example, in France, Huguenot Protestants were hated because of which there was persecution and reprisals. Eventually the Huguenots left the country.
