Mineral resources of the forest-tundra.

In Russia, the forest-tundra is rich in oil and gas. First of all, this concerns the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In the Komi Republic, coal is mined in the forest-tundra, and in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory there are deposits of nickel, platinum, palladium and other non-ferrous metals.
The forest-tundra of the Murmansk region is rich in nickel deposits (even the city of the same name is there),
and also there is copper, apatite and iron ore. Due to the boggy relief, the forest-tundra is rich in peat, but so far this mineral is in little demand in the north.
