Munich Agreement of 1938. Reasons, main goal and results

After the end of the First World War, Germany found itself dissatisfied with its position. And during the time between the two world wars, Germany tried to strengthen its position in Europe. So in 1938 the fascist leadership of the country demanded from Czechoslovakia to give the territories inhabited by ethnic Germans to Germany. Germany’s desire to get the Sudetenland was supported by the prime ministers of Great Britain, France and Italy. The agreement was signed in Munich. Germany got what it wanted and its signing showed that the countries of Europe will not interfere with the plans of A. Hitler to start a world war.
