Name and describe the types of insect development.

1) Development with incomplete transformation. Three stages: egg -> larva -> adult insect. (Cockroach, Mayflies, Dragonflies, Praying Mantises, Vesnians, Orthoptera, Earwigs, Lice, Homoptera). Larvae appear from the eggs, outwardly very similar to their parents. They differ from adults in smaller size, lack of wings and underdevelopment of the reproductive system. The larvae molt several times, grow and look more and more like adult insects. Over time, they become sexually mature, and their wings are fully formed. After that, the insects no longer grow.
2) Development with complete transformation. Four stages: egg -> larva -> pupa -> adult insect. (Butterflies, beetles, Flies, Wasps, Ants). The larvae are not at all like adults. They do not have compound eyes, there are only simple eyes, or the organs of vision are completely absent: the body is most often worm-like (caterpillars of butterflies). Antennae and wings are often absent. The larvae molt and grow several times. Having reached the maximum size, the larva turns into a pupa – an intermediate stage between the larva and the adult insect.
