Name the habitats of amphibians and explain the reasons for this spread.

Amphibians live near water bodies. These can be lakes, ponds, rivers, and others. All due to the fact that amphibians, although adapted to life on land, still depend on water. They develop in water. Frogs, for example, at the tadpole stage, live only in the aquatic environment. But often we can find frogs far from water bodies. They can move to other places, but they hide in damp and dark places. They usually leave the shelter at night, as it is safer for their existence.
