Bacteria, according to many scientists, are the oldest on our planet. They have a very simple structure. They do not have any membrane organelles. Accordingly, they do not have plastids, lysosomes and mitochondria in their structure, which are very important for the energy metabolism of eukaryotes. Bacteria have non-membrane organelles. Some species are capable of photosynthesis. In bacteria, it can proceed both with the release of oxygen and without it. Also, organic particles are captured by heterotrophic bacteria.
