Photosynthesis is a very complex biochemical process that is characteristic of all green plants and even some species of the simplest animals (euglena green). Photosynthesis takes place in cells thanks to chloroplasts. During this process, water, carbon dioxide is absorbed and, under the influence of sunlight, oxygen and glucose are released.
