Napoleon’s contribution to the formation of the new state.

After 18 Brumaire in November 1799, Napoleon Bonaparte came to power. After the Directory, he got a country with a weak economic system, a developed bureaucratic apparatus and corruption. The people dreamed of politicians who could “at least feed them” – the standard of living was too low. In the early years, he established a tax inspectorate with a branch in each city, enacted a law protecting private property and allowing privatization. During his reign, the “Surte” security service was formed in Paris, headed by Vidoc. And in 1804 the famous Civil Code was approved.
