Nitrogen N2 reacts with oxygen: O₂ + N₂ = 2NO, reacts with hydrogen: N2 + 3H2 ↔ 2NH3, and also with aluminum: 2Al (powder) + N2 → 2AlN. But it does not react with zinc oxide (1).
