On the road, a distance of 100 m is marked as the easiest way to measure a distance of 500 m while driving a bicycle along the road.
Each bicycle wheel has a nipple for pumping air into the tire chamber. Therefore, to measure 500 m while riding a bike, you need to do the following.
1) Set the nipple at the 0 mark on the front wheel to the upper position, for example, where the nipple visually intersects with the fork. After that, start moving forward and count the number of wheel revolutions, focusing on the nipple.
2) Stop the bike at the 100 m mark and multiply the result by 4, since the first segment of 100 m has already been covered.
3) Continue moving forward and stop at the 500 m mark when the wheel completes the number of revolutions obtained by multiplying.
