On what and what did the students of the Egyptian schools of Ancient Egypt write on.

A long time ago, ancient Egyptian schoolchildren wrote, like the Sumerian ones, on clay tablets using wooden sticks. Later, when the Egyptians were able to invent papyrus and ink, schools began to write on papyri with a pen dipped in ink. True, papyrus and ink were quite expensive, and therefore only wealthy families could afford to study in schools.
