On what grounds can a living creature be attributed to the inhabitants of the aquatic environment?

An animal can be classified as aquatic if it has the following features:

1) Streamlined body shape, which is needed so that the animal can swim calmly, feeling less resistance.

2) Skin rich in mucus secreting glands. It also reduces friction.

3) Specialized respiratory organs (gills), or the animal adapts to breathing atmospheric air at regular intervals (for example, whales).
