The isothermal process is described by the Boyle-Mariotte law:
PV = C,
where P is pressure, V is volume, C is constant.
The law can also be written in the form: P₀V₀ = P₁V₁, if the indices 0 and 1 mean the values of quantities in the initial and final states.
Substitute the values, taking into account that V₁ = 2V₀, and P₀ = 166 kPa:
166 kPa * V₁ = P₁ * 2V₁.
Reduce by V₁
166 kPa = 2 * P₁.
P₁ = 83 kPa.
Answer: 83 kPa.
