One of the acute angles of a right-angled triangle is 60 degrees, the sum of the short leg and the hypotenuse is 45 cm. Determine the value of the 2nd acute angle and the length of the short leg.
1) find the second angle 180- (90 + 60) = 30
2) BC-larger leg.
By condition AC + AB = 5
AB-smaller leg = 1/2 AC
Therefore, we can replace AC with 2AB
AB + 2AB = 45
3AB = 45
AB = 15
