One of the corners of a right-angled triangle is 60 degrees, and the sum of the hypotenuse and the smaller leg is 27 cm. Find these sides of the triangle.

Let x be the smaller leg;

then the hypotenuse = 2x;

x + 2x = 27;

3x = 27;

x = 9 – smaller leg;

2x = 2 * 9 = 18 cm – hypotenuse;

the larger leg according to the Pythagorean theorem = √243 = 15.6 cm.
