One of the legs of a right-angled triangle is 5 cm larger than the other, and the sum of the legs is 19 cm. Find the area of this triangle.

1.) (19-5): 2 = 7 (see) – smaller leg
2.) 7 + 5 = 12 (see) – large leg
Because this triangle is rectangular, then S = 7 * 12/2 = 42cm2.
Answer: 42cm2.
