| One of the outer corners of the triangle is 98 °. Find the angles of a triangle that are not adjacent to it if one of these angles is 6 times smaller than the other.
1. Let’s say the angle of the triangle is x degrees.
2. Degree measure of the second x * 6 = 6x degrees.
3. Determine the value of the third.
180 – 98 = 82 °.
4. Let’s make an equation.
x + 6x + 82 = 180;
7x = 180 – 82 = 98;
x = 98/7 = 14;
Answer: 1st x = 14 °. 2nd x * 6 = 14 * 6 = 84 °. 3rd 82 °.
