| The area of a rectangle is calculated by multiplying its length by its width. We know the length of one of the sides, therefore, we find the length of the other side:
48: 8 = 6 cm.
Knowing the lengths of both sides, we calculate the area of this rectangle:
S = 48 * 6 = 288 cm2.
