One of the sides of the triangle is 30 cm, the second is 5 times shorter than the first, and the third is 22 cm longer than the second. Calculate the perimeter of the triangle.

1) Since one of the sides of the triangle is 30 cm, the second is 5 times shorter than the first, in order to find out the length of the second side, you need to divide the length of the first side by the number five: 30 cm: 5 = 6 cm.
2) Since the second side of the triangle is 6 cm, and the third side is 22 cm longer than the second, in order to find out the length of the third side, you need to add 22 cm to the length of the second side: 6 cm + 22 cm = 28 cm.
