One of the very first tools used by man.

At the very dawn of mankind, primitive people gathered in herds. The herding way of life was the most acceptable for early man. Together it was possible to fight off enemy herds and from wild animals. Primitive people led a nomadic lifestyle and used natural comfortable places for their dwellings. The only types of food production were gathering and fishing. To feed the herd, it was necessary to get a sufficient amount of food. And a person not endowed with intelligence invented an assistant for himself. This is the first most primitive tool of labor – a digger. The simple invention consisted of a sharpened stick, but with the help of it it was possible to get more edible roots and catch more fish.
