One segment on the map is 4.5 cm long and the other 6.5 cm. Find the length of the first segment on the terrain if the second segment on the terrain is 7.8 km long.

Find the scale of the map:

7.8 km = 780,000 cm, 780,000 / 6.5 = 120,000, i.e. 1: 120,000.

Then the length will be:

4.5 * 120,000 = 540,000 cm = 5.4 km.
