One side of a triangle is 35% of its perimeter, the other -40%. How long is the third side of this triangle if its perimeter is 350 cm?
If one side of the triangle is 35% of the perimeter and the other is 40%, then the third side in percent is the difference between the entire perimeter of 100% and the two sides:
100% – 35% – 40% = 25%.
Knowing the length of the perimeter, you can calculate the third side:
350 * 25% / 100% = 350 * 0.25 = 87.5 cm.
The size of the third side of the triangle corresponds to the answer of 87.5 cm.
