| Let’s denote one side by x, then the other will be x-14. If half of the perimeter is 42. The perimeter is 2 * (x + x-14), then half is exactly x + x – 14 = 42. Hence 2x = 56, x = 28.
Then the sides of the rectangle are 28 and 14 cm.
