| **One side of the rectangle is 18cm, and the other is 6cm larger than it. Calculate the perimeter and area of this rectangle.**

We calculate the second side of the rectangle, which, by condition, is 6 cm larger than the adjacent side of the rectangle, equal to 18 cm:

1) 18 + 6 = 24 (cm).

We calculate the perimeter of this rectangle, the sides of which are 18 cm and 24 cm, which is equal to the doubled sum of its two sides:

2) P = 2 (18 + 24) = 2 * 42 = 84 (cm).

Find the area of the same rectangle by the product of its two adjacent sides:

3) S = 18 * 24 = 432 (cm²).

Answer: the perimeter of the rectangle is 84 cm, the area is 432 cm².
