| One side of the triangle is 4/5 dm, the second is 1/10 dm of the length of the first, and the third is 7/20 dm shorter than the second. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?
1st side of the triangle – 4/5 in.
2nd side of the triangle – 4/5 dm + 1/10 dm.
3rd side of the triangle – (4/5 dm +1/10 dm) – 7/20 dm.
The perimeter of a triangle is the sum of all sides.
4/5 + 1/1 0 = 8/10 + 1/10 = 9/10 dm – the length of the 2nd side.
9/10 – 7/20 = 18/20 – 7/20 = 11/20 dm – the length of the 3rd side.
Perimeter:
4/5 + 9/10 + 11/20 = 16/20 + 18/20 + 11/20 = 45/20 =
= 2 whole 5/20.
Reduce the fraction 5/20 by 5 to get 1/4.
