Organs in which starch is formed.

The starch is not formed immediately. It all starts in the basic cells of the leaves of the plant. There, during photosynthesis, glucose is created. It is then transported through sieve tubes to other parts of the plant, where glucose is already stored in the form of starch inclusions. This can be the root, seeds, rhizomes, bulbs and other parts of the plant. The starch is then broken down into glucose at the right time and oxidized in the mitochondria for energy. In this case, energy is stored in the form of ATP and is used by cells in various processes.
