Part of the horizon where the sun rises?

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It is very easy to remember, thanks to the mnemonic rule for the consonance of the first parts of the words sunrise – east, sunset – west. Thus, the part of the world from which the sun rises will be called east. Japan is called the land of the rising sun precisely because it is one of the most eastern countries and meets the new morning before anyone else.
