2. By the condition of the problem AB / AD = 1/5. Therefore, AD = 5AB.
3. P = 2 (AB + AD) = 24 centimeters.
AB + AD = 12 centimeters.
4. We substitute 5АВ instead of АD in this expression:
AB + 5AB = 12 centimeters.
6AB = 12 centimeters.
AB = 2 centimeters.
AD = 5AB = 2 x 5 = 10 centimeters.
Answer: the sides of the rectangle are AB = SD = 2 centimeters. BP = BC = 10 centimeters.
