Pine is a light-loving plant, its needles cannot develop correctly without access to light. Therefore, in an adult pine, we usually see a crown in the form of a hat. Spruce is a shade-tolerant plant, it does not suffer from a lack of light, therefore spruce forests are often dense, under their canopy, as a rule, it is dark.
