Pine and spruce belong to the same pine family. At the same time, they differ from each other in properties, and therefore in species. For example, in adult pines growing in the forest, the lower branches are almost completely absent, while in the spruce in the forest they remain until old age. What is lacking in the lower branches of the pine?

Pine is a light-loving plant, its needles cannot develop correctly without access to light. Therefore, in an adult pine, we usually see a crown in the form of a hat. Spruce is a shade-tolerant plant, it does not suffer from a lack of light, therefore spruce forests are often dense, under their canopy, as a rule, it is dark.
