Points A, B and C lie on the same straight line. The distance between points A and B is 30cm, and between points B and C is 10cm. Find the distance between points A and C.

AC = AB + BC.

For the condition of the problem AB = 30 cm, BC = 10 cm.

Find the distance between points A and C.

AC = 30cm + 10cm = 40cm.
