Political development of the United States in the second half of the 20th century.

In the second half of the 20th century, the United States strengthened its political and economic positions in the world. Having opened a second front in World War II, the United States emerged victorious and thus entered the UN Security Council, occupying a key position. During the war, they supplied weapons, food, ammunition to allied countries and at the same time became the countries’ creditors. Thus, they supported their industry and agriculture. After receiving nuclear weapons at its disposal, the United States further strengthened its political and military positions.
