Water can be in three states: gas (steam), liquid and ice. In addition, water has the following properties:

4. Depending on the state of aggregation, water can contract and expand.
Air is essential for the existence of all life on the planet. It has the following properties:
1. Conducts the rays of the sun;
2. Takes up space;
3. Has weight;
4. Expands when heated, shrinks when cooled.
