Pros and cons of India colonization

Pros: India is a wealthy country with many different resources. Colonize her, England received a cheap source of good resources, which she began to use for the development of her own production and economy, which she did quite successfully.
Cons: England bought and siphoned resources from India without actually paying for them, or buying at a very low price. This led to the decline of India, hunger, poverty and ruin developed in it.
