By the middle of the 18th century, the people of the future USA had already formed. By this time, the British colonies in North America were experiencing a period of rapid development; immigrants from Britain were actively traveling there. The abundance of land and a highly developed industry did not allow the creation of a feudal system in the colonies. The population of the colonies spoke the same English language. These factors (free farmers, strong industry, lack of a feudal system) and the remoteness of the colonies from Britain created a new nation.
