Once upon a time on the territory of the island of Crete there was an ancient developed Minoan civilization. The Minoans themselves possessed extensive mathematical, astronomical and other scientific knowledge. They also had a written language. Their cities were magnificent and beautiful. They knew how to build roads, sewers, water supply. They also built palaces and temples of incredible beauty. The Minoan civilization itself was able to exist until the middle of the 2nd millennium BC. Then a terrible natural cataclysm occurred there, which caused the decline of this civilization.
