Prove that Homer’s poems (Iliad and Odyssey) are of historical value.

Both of these poems, truly masterpieces of the ancient Greek epic, claim historical value. The fact is that we know very little about the so-called “Homeric Greece”. There are practically no written sources from there, and archaeological sources are usually difficult to interpret correctly, because they provide information only on the technical and material characteristics of that period. Homer shows us the economic life of Greece, the relationship between the social strata of that period, its political history, which is partially confirmed by archaeologists.
