This statement can be seen on the example of power circuits. Let’s say there is a plant chain -> locust -> sparrow -> kestrel. If we remove the sparrows from this chain, then there will be no one to regulate the number of locusts, which will multiply and spread unhindered, eating plants, which in turn are food for other species. Consequently, they will not have enough power sources, which will lead to death. Also, when the sparrows are removed, the kestrels will have nothing to eat, which will cause their death. As a result: an imbalance in the ecosystem and, as a consequence, an ecological disaster.
