| We look at the condition two straight lines parallel. We assume that the third line is parallel to one of the lines. By the condition of parallelism – two lines do not intersect. Let’s assume that the third line is not parallel to the first. Then the condition of parallelism of the first two lines is violated – and therefore the third will be parallel to the first two.
